Best store and best Martin

Post by sfmartins »

I am from Portugal and I have friends in Philadelphia that can buy me a Martin guitar there and bring it to me personally.

I would like them to buy me a Martin for less than $1500 and I want it to be electrified already.

What do you think is the best option? From what I've read, the DC-16RGTE seems to be the best. If so, where can I find a store so that my friends can go there and buy it? They can also buy it from the internet, I guess, but I don't know if that's a good choice when buying a guitar.

Thank you very much!

ummm.. theres a topic that is very similar (exactly) to this like right above it. look at that for advice and tell your friends to get it at the martin factory or in Nazareth. Phillys only like an hour away from it

How can I get information about the guitars they have? And how can I find their phone contact?

Electronics

Post by sfmartins »

The D-35 would be great. But I want it to have electronics. The price in martinguitar.com is $2749.00, but that's without pickup, am I right?

What is the best pick-up to install (not too expensive, of course)?

Thanks.

thats msrp, ull never really see one more than 2000 and the one kid from the previous post said he got his for 1600. and yes that is without pickup. the cheapest pickup to install is obvioyusly a soundhole pickup, but their quality is questionable. go with anything fishman. they know what theyre doing.

I've played the 16 RGTE and it sounds sweet, solid wood and all.

I highly recommend this guitar. You'll love it too.

I've decided to buy the DC-16RGTE Premium!

Unfortunately my friends will come to Portugal only next year, so that I'll have to wait for the guitar...

Thanks a lot for the help!
