That makes five for me

Post by fatjack »

Just bought my fifth guitar today, a Gibson ES-335. It's used (almost vintage, 1981) but its in excellent condition. got it for a little less than 2 grand and im very happy with it.

i've finally got an actually jazz guitar! now i can finally take those flatwounds off my telecaster.

i think i might be able to post a picture of me with the guitar because the store clerk took a picture and said he was gonna put it on the store's website. he said they were gonna photoshop it and make it look all goffy, but i dont know if he was being serious or not

You Bastard!!!! An ES-335!!!!!! Damn!!! That is a great guitar! It's also considered the Gibson version of the Casino (but not intentionaly). They have one down at Good & Loud Music, it's very nice. It better be a natural finish ;) .

Nice I've had five for a while. Though it really doesnt count cause i only bought one and two are broken almost beyond repair and another has like a twangy string if that makes sense.

I have an:
Ibanez PC300 CE NT acoustic/electric
Citation SG electric
Silvertone acoustic (broken almost beyond repair)
Unmarked(only label is a K) acoustic (broken almost beyond repair)
Pensra classical (twangy low E string)

I would love to have a Gibson ES-137 custom. Beautiful guitar with the sharp cut awayand semi hollow body. Only problem is I dont have 1,500 bucks so I cant get it at the moment.

In a few monthes I'm getting a new 12-string probably Martin but I'm not so sure yet.

HEY MAN, LAY OFF THE CASINO! LOL! I have played some Casinos, both Elite and normal Epiphone, and IMO are very good, and give me just what I need in sound, and I love the look (and a good price range). The ES-335, though, is a great guitar. I think it might be Gibson's best Archtop electric. I am very jealous, man!

That's an excellent jazz box! I saw one advertised in the local trading times a few months ago but I just didn't have the cash. :(
