General Error

When putting up my avatar i got a general error and it told me to report it to ya'll lol. I just do what the screen tells me

I get the same thing every time; I even posted a question here (" A BIT CONFUSED") about it, but JKANTER said he didn't know...I want to put up an image!!!

I'm not sure on this one, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the way our web host has PHP configred.

For now, you're just gonna have to go without an avatar, unless you have some other means of hosting it.

Sorry guys.

EDIT: To make it clear, I mean that you can't upload your avatar to our server and use it (as far as I know). You have to host it on another site and then link to that server.

oh Snap! i got it to work, apparently i pasted the URL to the wrong box, that might be what ur doin too Gravedigger.

kanter, to fix this you will need to create an upload folder in the images/avatars folder and run a SITE CHMOD 0777 on the folder.
this *should* allow PHP to create files in that folder, and thus allow avatar uploads; although i'm sure either you or pittman knew this (although, hey, pittman's an aggie, who knows?

I do believe that the upload folder is there. I also do know that the folder needs to be chmod 777, allowing read, write, edit to all users. I think I remember I tried it once real fast and it didn't work then I kinda forgot about it. I'll give it a whirl when I get home onto my computer and have all my shit together...peace all
