I have cakewalk homestudio 2002 but the mp3 encoder has run out (sometime ago) and I dont really feel like paying to get the new one or whatever it is, do you guys know of any free mp3 converters that work with cakewalk files and how to do it etc. ?

you can probably export it as a wav. file and use something like musicmatch to convert the file to mp3.
