What Guitar Should I Try To Get For Graduation?

Post by duluoz »

Hey, I'm graduating from highschool in about 3 weeks and I'm trying to convince my parents to buy me new acoustic as a present. Right now I have a Crestwood, been playin' guitar for around 2 1/2 years now. So I really want a Martin D-15, and that's as high as I'm gonna ask for in terms of price. Another option I've looked at is the Ibanez Artwood AW200VV. I've played this and I like its tone and its looks. Are their any other quality guitars with good tone in this price range? I remember someone here was talking about a new Taylor line that wasn't really expensive. Thanks

How much is this DC-16RGTE you speak of? Also, whats anyone's opinion on the Ibanez I spoke of? I am seriously considering the D-15.

The Ibanez might not be bad. I have a lower end model, AW50, and I like it. But Martins are classic. I would probably choose the DC-16RGTE

the DC-16RGTE (cutaway, rosewood, electronics, etc..) is about $1500 if you find the right place.

Well, I've seen some D-15's on ebay for around $500. But they are around $600 on music123.com. That might not be too steep.
