i was listening to dave's farmaid 2001 watchtower and it occured to me that his chords sound really full in it...I find that when i play the G chord i hear more of the high E string even though i am strumming full. I was curious if he is using a barred G for that to get a bigger sound...if anyone could clear this up for me that would be faaantastic.

IM me if you want the video of it. He plays bar chords up until "No reason to get excited" then strums the open chords for the rest of the song.
