ive listened to his latest album for a long time now, and i was getting curious when his next was coming out(may 6th for anyone who cares), but i was on his website jackjohnsonmusic.com and i he had a few streaming songs on there that i hadent heard before, Frankie and Albert, and a Jimmy Buffett cover(who I love) Pirate Looks at 40, I was just wondering if anyone knew where i could get tabs for these, i would really appreciate it, later.

Lazy people. Sit down a figure it out yourself. Tabs are major cheats for people who know what they are doing. Look at tabs if your a beginner then train your ears to figure stuff out on your own.

First of all...I wouldn't be able to tab stuff out by ear for shit, because I am terrible at. 'Nuff said. Secondly, I would have to listen to the songs over and over and over again to get it right.....and then I would get sick of the song since I've heard it so much, and would never want to hear it again, thereby ruining a good song for me. So, I'll take a tab whenever I can get it, thanks.

I said for people who know what they are doing. If you cant sit and figure stuff out by ear then dont. But if your able then do it. And thats not being disrespectful to Kanter. Dude sometimes tabs are extremely hard to do by ear so you get online and you get a tab to help you with it. And I got on this site before I tabbed by ear. How rude are you guys? Plus when you've been playing for years and years and you consider yourself a good guitarist you should at least promote yourself to standard notation cause tabs make you look amateur. Now I have no idea how long you guys have been playing so dont think im judging you on anything.

I've never felt inferior for using tabs. It's a clear cut and logical way to learn a song that you've already heard. If your gonna be a session or classical player than go ahead and learn standard but I really don't think it's as vital as some people make it out to be.

tabs arnt a cheat or a easy way out for figuring out songs... its a logical way to decipher a song(s) that u like...
