Traveling with my guitar...
Well, two questions. First, I'm takning my guitar to the beach for a week next week. Other than not letting it sit in the sand or the ocean, is there any special care I should take while playing out on the beach?
Second, I am going to be traveling up to New York for the Darien Lake sow about a month from now
Has anyone done this, and can I take my guitar as a carry on? I only have a soft case for it (gig-bag), so I don't really trust loading it under the bus. Any advice?

...depending on how much you like your guitar, the salt air can destroy it...but if you only are going t be there a while, then you should be ok...maybe wipe it down (especially the hardware)...after playing...
...that is all I can think of right now...hope i helps, and have fun

i still wouldnt put it under the bus in a gig bag. i rode them a lot this year to baltimore and back, and your shit gets roller around, slides back and forth.
you can take it as a carryon and put it in the seat next to you as long as the bus isn't crowded. what time are you traveling? if not, you *could* smash it down in front of your legs, but that'd be an uncomfortable trip.
