Short thick Fingers = not a good guitar player??

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Adaptation is inevitable if you are habitual in your ritual. Let the ladies decide in matters of size my friend.

Mine on the other hand are short and thick (slightly) so i'm getting disheartened that this physical deficiency would mean that i would never be able to play those cool dmb guitar licks. *shrugs*

To give ya guys an idea...

Long fingers are an advantage, but not a necessity. I'm more of a pianist than a guitarist, and people say the same thing about piano. Anyone who plays either instrument would love to have bigger hands, but you can get by without them.
Beethoven was only 5'3'', I'm sure he had small hands, but that didn't stop his musical development. Tim looks pretty short as well, and his fingers are too. So you can see, short fingers are nothing you can't overcome with practice.

He has normal fingers, not short, but not long. I saw them when he signed my guitar strap ;) .
