Hey Danny
It was a show called "Open Wide" on MTV Ultrasound (May 1998), it's about the making of Before These Crowded Streets.
Here's some more info I found on Ants:
"Back in 1998, when DMB was recording BTCS, MTV went into the studio with them and filmed some of the process. Recording the music, recording the lyrics, Dave talked about their creative process, and they also asked the guys about the album on a song by song basis. I seem to remember Carter referring to DDTW as a nagging toothache when they first started working it up. Tim's in there, as well as Bela, the LL's, Alanis Morrisette, Kronos Quartet. Didn't see any of Butch, although he did the keyboards on Crush. It's pretty cool, shows the guys at work, and shows them goofing around a bit in the studio. It was aired right around the same time the Live @ the 10 Spot was. And obviously those were both aired right before BTCS was released. It's only a half hour, but it's a really interesting look inside how they work these songs up from scratch."
