digital recording software

Post by kcw »

Hey I write and record my own stuff a lot. The equipment i have now is a 4-channel sound board a typical microphone and the mp3 maker 2004 diamond. I just recently realized how crappy my software is. I need something so that i can edit my songs, and dub over multiple tracks. I was looking and saw a PG Music Power Tracks audio Version 7 (windows)
From what I read it seemed like what I wanted. But im not totally sure. Does anyone know of any other software under $100 dollars that might work? Or know if the sofware i mentioned above is any good? Thanks. Tell me if I didnt include enough information.

You may also want to try the FREE version of ProTools. You have to run Windows 98 to use it though.

You can find it on the DigiDesign website.

http://www.digidesign.com

ProTools is the professional recording standard, and this "lite" version is enough to get you through some basic stuff that it sounds like you do.

Hope that helps (if you run Windows 98).
