play stairway to heaven completely. yes, that means the solo.

i can't finish the solo but i think i could if i practiced on my electric, cause i run out of frets and space to play the end but i think i got stairway down.

everyone always says they can play stariway but if you can't play the solo then you can't play the song. I'm about 2-3 minutes away from having the whole song down. firedancer was right, start playing the classics when you think your at a dead end. he didn't say that word for word but if you know him you'd know he went off on the oldies. Fire??

yeah its pretty cool... like when we go to guitar stores together, we try to get someone who works there attention, then he whips out like little wing or somethin crazy on an acoustic... 30 secs later we have a free run off the store.

so true! Once you can impress a store employee and show you are capable of handling an instrument, they will leave you alone; however, until then you are subject to scrutiny greater then a bird has for its prey.

I was at a friend's friend's apartment. I was fooling around on the guitar and started to play Stairway. The guy looks at it, and he never saw it the way I played it, and he started, and I never saw anyone play it like he played. So we stopped, and played along with eachother, and wow, what a version. I wish we would have recorded it . . . or at least learned eachohter's name, lmao.

yeah, like we were rockin some soloing, on some deans then they guy came in and said "well, we got some PRS's behind the counter, interested"

I can play most of it. I can't play the solo very well, and I can't figure out the last bit of it.

i had to play the whole of stairway and the solo for a school exam about 3 years ago i passed but after reading this board i gave it a try again and i am a bit sticky but ill get it back

We picked it differently. Neither one of us was playing it the way Zeppling did. So we hit different notes, different voicings. It melded perfectly together.
