This should be interesting. Steve Vai is one of the world's leading guitarists and he is teaming up with Dave to play a song. I'd LOVE to hear a recording of that when it happens, if anyone knows how they could get it.

Steve Vai and Dave Matthews to Honor Carlos Santana
The Latin Recording AcademyÂ® has announced that Salma Hayek and the executive producer of the evening, Quincy Jones, will present international superstar Carlos Santana with the 2004 Latin Recording Academy Person Of The Year award. George Lopez and Cheech Marin will co-host the tribute gala to take place Monday, Aug. 30, 2004 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.

Steve Vai will perform "Love Of My Life" with Dave Matthews. Other artists paying tribute to Santana include Cabas, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Black Eyed Peas, CafÃ© Quijano, Fher of ManÃ¡, La Ley, Ozomatli, Robi Draco Rosa, Rob Thomas and Julieta Venegas.

I don't know, but it probably won't be as good as Tim with dave.

Jesus christ people. Just because it isn't Tim doesn't mean it can be just as good, if not better. I don't even think D+T have done this song, so give the high horse shit a break.

Ok... what? It's just that we're avid fans. We're willing to listen to new stuff. I'm just saying that I will still enjoy D&T no matter what.

I personally don't like Tim's playing (from what I've heard). So basically, any D&T stuff. He's kinda sloppy. and I just don't like him.
