were gettin to bottom of this, the few that have heard the song say that it is infact not bartendar, and theyre nothing alike... we gotta figure this out

nope never been played live, or heard by the public, played at the before these crowded streets sessions and was cut like help myself, but unlike help myself that recording never saw the lgiht of day. only the people there, and a few others know what it is. all we know is it isnt bartendar like some believe

Supposedly it was called Machead, because Lillywhite thought that is sounded like a blend of Paul McCartney and Radiohead.

I thought JTR was a song that Dave and Santana wrote together. People who have heard it claim the lyics contain a certain angst against God a la Seek Up and other Dave songs.

JTR is dave's version of an old classical song John The Revelator. He changed some lyrics and some of the riffs in it and it became his own. atleast that's what I was always led to beleive
