the police in chicago checked that bus's tank and even said it was nearly full..The boat who must have reported it had no way to see it was DMB their tour buses do not say dmb any where on the bus...i am sure other bands were touring around the area at the same time...

Yes, but Chicago PD at the time verified that the bus hadn't moved. I can't imagine being showered in shit, and then looking up through that to see AND write down the license plate of a bus speeding along a bridge overhead... I'm throwing Check's bullshit flag.
Looks like the DMB is backpedaling on this one a little bit. Turns out it wasn't the originally named bus driver, it was a different guy who has been with them since March of last year. He was going over the bridge to go pick up an unnamed member of the band. Hmmmmm...taking one of the buses just to go pick up one of the members of the band...and dumping out the shit, like it was supposed to have already been done, because it was stinky poo...hmmmm...wonder which member that would have been...hmmmmm....

Which is sad, because in a few articles I read, it said that FENTON was the driver. I love Fenton.
Pretty amusing comments so far but no one has broached the subject of the apparent juxtaposition this action has to Dave's own stated beliefs about the environment. To use the word "hypocrite" would be letting him off easy. This wasn't tossing your gum out the window. This was the blatant disposal of raw shit into a river in violation of every city, state, and federal environmental law on the books. The attempt to lie about their whereabouts to avoid taking responsibility is exactly the type of response DM and the management and others despise when it is attempted by "greedy corporations".
Can we now turn off DM's bullhorn for awhile? His message rings hollow and it's getting in the way of the truth. I love the man just as much as anyone...but he needs to stop being so vocal with his politics and beliefs, meh. I do believe that Dave himself had nothing to do with it, if it even happened at all, but if people are going to listen to anyone involved with the DMB, it's going to be Dave.
