Opinions about Dean Electric Guitars

I'm contemplating purchasing my first electric guitar. I have no knowledge about good brands or anything. I was wondering if I could get some opinions of what people think about Dean electric guitars and in particular, Dean Avalance MQ. The cost is around $325.

decent guitar for the cost but for slightly more, many better options in my opinion. if you like it though, go for it.

Any suggestions for a reasonable new electric guitar? I don't want to spend too much as I mainly play accoustic.

some are gonna suggest a fender mexican strat, but id advise against that too. you can get a Godin in that price range that would be better than anything else

yep, any mexican fender is a peice of shit in my opinion. considering the fact that for a little more you get a far more superior american, wich arent that bad...

but an american is gonna run you like $800 on the internet.
