based off a quick search...
http://users.pandora.be/erik.deppe/trou ... rcodes.htm
that error code (Parameter Value Invalid) indicated is a software problem and not a harware issue. If you tested the drive before burning anything and it gave you this error then obviously it's not a disk error. Either try uninstalling and reinstalling the software or download a free DVD burning software package and try using it then.

Stupid question, but did you remember to switch the software from CD to DVD before you tried burning the DVD? (it can happen)
I would try the DVD Decrypter route. It is VERY easy to use. I have a Sony dual format burner and the software that came with it sucked.
You want to get the latest version of DVD Decrypter...I think it is 3.2.3.0 but you should check....again, I would download it off of the official site.
As far as disk brand is concerned.....I believe both of those mentioned are low grade. In the DVD world, quality is everything and I would stick with TDK, Maxell, Fuji. I have heared stories of some burners not working on certain brands, but I think that is very uncommon.

Hardware= Cd.
Use dvd decryptor, Drop your cheap dvds and buy whatever is good, but cheap. ( See Media Deals at top of trading page. ) Read the tutorial for dvd decryptor, or look it up on google.
What danny was trying to say, was that maybe you're program is set to cd burning mode, instead of dvd burning.
