now ive been thinkign about this and are corvettes good for funk though. that is the style i am wanting to play other then dav stuff.

Any bass can be good for funk if you use your fingers right

Yep. . . Flea plays funk on his Flea bass live, he's used Stingrays in the past, he uses Alembics and Wals among other things in the studio. James Jamerson, who played on about every Motown hit, used an early 60s P-bass. I believe Victor uses a P/J configuration on his Foderas.

Many times when people say "the tone is in the fingers" it is usually not the whole story, but in terms of funk playing I'd say it really is.

wow that looks pretty sweet. too bad my warwick has made me dislike anything that isnt warwick...i even played a couple of modullus quantum 5s the other day and liked my warwick much better.

i dont like those to much either. but i also only played like 3 notes on one i had to leave guitar center.
