*******(((((Timmy's Part in The Stone)))))******** (UPDATE)

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

*******(((((Timmy's Part in The Stone)))))******** (UPDATE)

Post by i-am-me »

This is what Timmy plays on the stone with dave. Please try it out and tell me what you think. I tabbed it from the 5-5-03 2-cam D+T show. Please comment. This is all played in drop D.

Intro: These are all the same rhythm as what Dave plays for the intro. they are octives of the same riff.

Code: Select all

-----------------------------
-----------------------------
-----------------------------
-----------------------------
-----------------------------
-0---7---3---5-5-2-3-2-0-----
or

Code: Select all

-----5-----------------------
--------6--8-8-5-6-5---------
--7------------------7-------
-----------------------------
-----------------------------
-----------------------------
or

Code: Select all

-------17---13---15-15-12-13-12-------------
--15---------------------------15-----------
--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------

Verse: Here he likes to play around a little.

Code: Select all

----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------3---------------2~~-----
----------------------------x----5-5-2-3-2----------
----------------------------x-------------5---------
-0---7---3---5-5-2-3-2---5--5-----------------------

--------------------
--------------------
--------------------
------3-0-2---------
--3-1-------3-0-----
--------------------
or

Code: Select all

--------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------
----------------------------3--------------2~~----
----------------------------x--------------------etc..
----------------------------x---------------------
-0---7---3---5-5-2-3-2---5--5--5-5-2-3-2-0--------
for the part that changed, you can substitute any of the intro riffs that above.
Chrous: Took a while on the chords...but they sound pretty good. they could be off though. this is the part i updated. i had a wrong chord, and one that i needed to add to. these are better now. for the last two. you can also use the bar chords for each. (Dm and C)

Code: Select all

---------1------------
---1--1--3--1---------
---2--x--2--0---------
---3--2--0--2---------
---x--3--x--3---------
---3--2--x------------
And last, the Bridge: same thing. literally. just in a different place.

Code: Select all

-----------------
-----------------
-----------------
----2---0---3----
--0---3---1------
-----------------
That's alll. :D[/b]

Dude, fricken pimp. I just recorded both parts and overdubbed...sounds pretty sweet. I'm like, "woah, there's Tim! Only not as good!"

Danke.

Thanks guys. is there anything that sounds off to you? I know there's more to the chorus part when he goes into the wise men jam at the end, but i couldn't really see what he was doing.

i'm gonna start working on more. but a lot of songs, tim doesn't do stuff like this. he just plays around with scales. so it makes it hard.
