I have to say that they are uglier than Flying Vs! I wonder what they play like though? I hear Vs are real smooth and nice to play.

theyre ridiculous looking... and youd look ridiculous if you were playing the wrong kind of music with it. cant play country/blues/stuff like that with an explorer.

dont buy one. no one buy one. so the explorer goes extinct.

Agreed. I can't see playing blues, jazz, or any other genre on an explorer. But I do like the way they look. James Hetfield from Metallica plays one that has a body of diamond plate metal.

I think you pretty much have to be into metal to appreciate these guitars, same with flying Vs.
