i think i've almost got this one. just the muting needs a little work. does anyone have some general advice for making this song sound good?

sometimes the B string rings a little, but i'm almost hesitant to stop it because it sounds kindof like the album version.

anyway...any advice? is this song like a sort or acurate picking with some muting like WWYS, or is it just flat out crazy strumming with all mutes? i'm sort of inbetween rigth now.

I do full out strumming with muting on all the strings except the ones Im playing but I do try make sure to when Im strumming that the first string I strum is the one Im playing and Im only hitting the 2 or 3 below it. Its kinda tricky but your strums should basically work down the strings then back up as that is the order of how your fretting hand goes on the fretboard.

As for muting on the first note I have my index finger play it and mute all the strings below it, it also mutes for the next two notes. Then when I play the 7 on the g-string I get my other fingers ready for the next few notes and have them mute until I get to them, then I just kind of push them down cuz theyre all ready in the right position. If that helps then good, if not try watching a video like the LS DVD, thats about the same process that he does if Im correct.

you got it....i would just say you strum every string, muting the ones you need to. i have been playing this song for a long time and still dont have it down. the hardest DMB song for me so far

I also mute the low E with my thumb when I move to the 7 on the g-string and keep it there until I start the riff over. I dont think the high e or the b string should be ringing or heard when playing this song either.

Muting is the key to this song. Never change the rhythym of your right hand, just keep strumming. I'm not talented by any means, but this song came kind of naturally to me. Just keep the rhythym.

I have trouble with Warehouse, with the muting. The main riff starts with the notes on the E, A, and D, strings (7th, 9th, and 11th frets), which I find easy, but then he moves the opposite way, playing notes from the G to the D to the A string. I find it way harder to play these notes, while muting effectively. How do you guys do it? Do you lay your first finger over and mute, or do you just miss the strings, as the tab here seems to suggest?

First off welcome to the boards fineweber The way i play it is like the tabs you posted yourself , i mute the B and E with my index finger and just hit the right strings i when i strum i guess , haven't played it for a while so i can't say for sure

You're very welcome , just gotta practice on it that all and yes i mute B and E , sometimes when playing around i pick the notes individually , then you don't have to mute , but on the other hand its more confusing to play it that way , and it wont get that full sound as when it is strummed
