I know tears and heaven.... but I want to play classical gas.

What are some good songs that could help improve my technique?

Greensleeves is a nice one to learn, as is Fur Elise. or, good ol Stairway..

Dust in the Wind is by far a great fingerpick song, who else can play this one?

Simon and Garfunkel is good for Travis style fingerpicking.

most of Tim Reynolds' stuff is fingerpicking (except fast ones like Stream)

Leyenda (performed by Andres Segovia) gives the fingers a workout.

"More than a Feeling" by Boston, "Dead Or Alive" by Bon Jovi, and "Blackbird" by the Beatles. Just to add on to "Stairway" and "Dust in the Wind".

Im just starting to learn how to fingerpick stuff, Ive taught myself and am coming along allright. The first songs I learned that are cool were The Needle and the Damage Done and Ohio (written about my school) by Neil Young.

forgot to say, all her music is finger picked. You can dl her tracks from the web, i.e. kazza etc.. some of my favs, 32 flavors, this bouquet, firedoor, gravel, shy. Most of her first album self titled "ani difranco" is pretty cool and not as hard as some of the other songs.
