Electric Guitar

Post by bb2 »

I'm looking for a good electric guitar around $300. I need to get an amp too. The cheaper the better. Really, I don't want to spend much. I've already got a martin acoustic/electric i like a lot. I probably need the amp more than the electric but I wanted to have an electric too. I really just want the best for my money.Suggestions?

Fender Standard Stratocasters (Mexican) star at $349 on MusiciansFriend. I'm buying a Strat soon too, but I'm gonna get the 60's model!

good advice, but don't buy it online. You can get it cheaper at a store.

yea, they will throw in free stuff (strap) and knock quite a bit if your buying an amp too. That way, you can get a decent one.

They're $399 at stores around here. But, I'm gonna talk them down when I get my 60's Strat. I'm gonna get either a Fender Blonde Blues Jr. 15 watt tube amp or a Fender Dyna Touch Series DS90 90 watt amp. Both go for $399. The DS90 has built in effects and pedal, but the Blues Jr. is a tube amp. I'm not sure on what to get yet!

i don't want the conventional looking fender like eric clapton has. I like a different looking guitar. I really don't know what to get. I'd really like to spend like $350 on everything.

If you're buying a guitar for looks, then I can't help you.

im not i just dont want to spend money on something that i dont like the looks of. The play of the guitar, etc. is most important but looks are def. a factor too.

What is wrong with the looks of a Strat? This design may be one of the most influential designs for electric guitars ever!
