No you don't. It's boring.
A little boring yes but the lyrics kick all ass.

Worst DMB song

Post by scottwagen »

I can't stand the over-played stuff so I typically skip over Crash and I'm getting a little tired of Ants (although it is a great song).

i must admit that i thoroughly dislike Crazy/Captain... it really blows IMO

besides that one, i dont really skip songs. When i get a new live show, for instance, i try to hear all the songs so that i might come across a great version of a song that i normally dislike... thats what i think makes DMB great, that they always surprise me like that, so besides that captain thingee i have no song that i never like.

I pretty much stay away from the poppy songs on cd. Where Are You Going, Grey Street, Space Between, I Did It, etc. Not because they suck, just because they don't do much for me. I will have to say that Grey Street rocks in concert though....the rest of them I usually rest my legs when I hear them come on.

I take every gif I watch (which is A LOT) with a humongous grain of salt. But I don't let that grain of salt get into my eye and blind me to whatever truth can be found in what I'm watching. He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.

No bashing intended or anything, but IMO Big Eyed Fish is one of the more intelligent songs...

But hey, thats how diversity works.

The Last Stop. I like most of it, but I hate-hate-HATE the way Dave sings the verses aside from "Go ahead and dream."

And this part:

Here there's more than is showing up
Hope that we can break it down

ruins the whole damn song.
Stay with me, safe and ignorant.

STDH- it seems like there is no energy in this song, no poignant thought resounding from it. It seems so affected, as if conjured up and writen in a few minutes. And thats a fairly accurate conjecture.

Recently- When it has cool outros, intros and interpolations it is quite enjoyable to listen to but without them it is a dead song.

So Right- This song is a good effort, but it never fails to bug me. Meditations and pondering have concluded for me that it is the song on Everyday that, more than anyother, has been bastardized (Ballardized) of all that DMB fans love about DMB.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

for a long time I hated rhyme and reason, but I finally decided to listen to it and I love it now, but a song I skip over is Stay, I hate that song now, other than the first three minutes
