Cortez the killer

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Post by coyoteguy »

I saw this thread somewhere on here before but I cant find it now so I am asking it again. Does anyone know where I can find the tab for Cortez, The Killer on the Central Park cd? I am looking for Warren Hayes part of course. Sorry if I put this in the wrong forum. Thanks

In case you don't know what "Play in Em means" :)

It's Em, D, Am

But when he's soloing it's in the Em scale so if you don't know it, learn it and where it lies on the fretboard in terms of how he's playing and it will help you figure out what he's doing because he's going to stay in that "space."

It limits what you have to try to figure out because you know he's only going to play the notes that comprise that scale.

However he could be playing it at several different positions on the fretboard so make sure you learn the different variations :)

Good luck! If you tab it all out, please post it as it's an awesome piece.
