Post by DJR »

last year when i saw the guys i listened to BTCS on the way, and what do they do? start the show with Stay, Crush, DDTW, and the Stone (not in that order, but i forget it)

so to prevent that, no more Dave until wednesday night - good or bad idea?

That sounds good.

When I went to a Shania Twain concert (after a Dallas Cowboys football game), it took them about 3 hours to set up her stage, lights, TV cameras, etc., and throughout that entire time they were playing all of her music videos on a loop on the stadium big screens. By the time the concert started, I was so sick of the songs I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I should have.

yea thats what me and my buddies do. We put in all our other CD's in our players up to a week in advance so we really want to hear dave lol. I think on the drive to the concert we might play 2 or 3 songs just to tide us over hahaha. That happens with any music i think. Happens just listening to dave on CD. I listened to BTCS like for a whole week didnt change cds and i was sick of it for like a month. but after a month it was all good again :)

if theres one thing about dave, you can listen to him until your tired of it, give it a break and listen to something else, and then when you come back, it just feels so good to be listening to dave again :)

for me, anyway.

I sorta regretted not downloading the covers they played before the D&F concert, because I would not have had to struggle to find out what they were during the concert. Hey Bulldog and American Tune were the only ones I had heard before hand. Still, that concert made me fall in love with Solsbury hill, thank you, waste, tell me something good, and fire.

Its a kickass song to play and a great chance to work on scatting whilst playing a difficult guitar part.

A similar thing happened to me at Darien Lake. Still, I don't think it's possible to abstain from Dave until the concert...I'd be too tempted to play it.

I think that some of the sickening obsessions with DMB on the fansites are examples of little usage of moderation. For all the other artists that people love, they seem to be obsessed with solely one artist (in this case Dave).
