The second solo in Comfortably Numb. No contest. I can't even start to describe how awesome it is. David Gilmour is a god. I guess in second would come all his other stuff, from Shine on You Crazy Diamond to the last solo in Money, to Mother. I haven't heard him do anything bad.
I also have to give a big nod to Mark Knopfler. Sultans of Swing is awesome, and I was very impressed with Sailing to Philadelphia. I've always been a big Dire Straits fan.
P.S.
Freebird=most overrated guitar solo in all of guitar history.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I still hate you, but you have a pretty good collection of nudie magazines.

"If at all God's gaze upon us falls, it's with a mischievous grin."

"I live on the corner of Grey St. and the end of the world."

Fire- Timmy, Trey, and Buddy all go fuck nuts.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Well put. He has a style all his own.

Right now I'm listening to big country by them, which is this cool little western style jam with coffin playing a beautiful sax.
