EDIT: oops, i thought you said "learned" instead of "heard". crash was the first song i learned on guitar. i think the first one i heard was ants marching, i stole UTTAD from my sisters room when i was like eight or nine. well..technically it was BOWA..but i just skipped through the beginnings of the songs before i heard one i recognized...ants marching. :D

All Along the Watchtower, it's not a DMB song, first i heard them.

Actual DMB would be Bartender

crash... sadly on MTV when it just came out. And that video freaked me out so much and was so weird that I didn't really like dave at first. Then one day my older brother came home with the Crash CD and i heard Lie in Our Graves and I went out and got it myself. Thank god my brother knows good music when he hears it.

Crush. My sister had a clip of it, way the hell back in 98 when it came out.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

#41, (without the opening stretch obviously)

it's actually funny to think back and remember how i used to think "there's no way i will ever be able to play" certain songs

Tripping Billies from "Remember 2 Things".
My roomie in college went to a fraternity function somewhere on the east coast way back in 1993, and he was given a cassete tape of R2T. He brought it back and we listened to it quite a bit, but at the time DMB was totally unkown in the mid-west. I guess I didn't become a real fan until I saw them live a few years later.

i was about 10 years old and i was in the car with my babysitter, ants came on the radio, and my babysitter said, you would probably like this band. then she got me UTTAD and i listened to only that cd for months.
