No offense but I find most things associated with Christianity at the least, very unappealing...particularly music.
Now you can all give me the "your going to burn in hell unless you repent for this blasphemy" mumbo-jumbo and I'll say "back off you Jesus freaks I don't have to like or respect your religion" and then you'll say "Bush in '04" and we'll be done with it so you might as well save your finger strength. The guitar work is very nice though.

MWR its people like you who get me upset.. it could be the best music ever, but you would say it sucked because it was Christian. some Christian music people dont even know is Christian - ie Switchfoot.

EVERY song is like this and I find no substance in it. It's all about his "relationship" with Jesus which is fine but where does life, love, death, sadness, happiness etc. fit into that? If anything it's absurdly narrowminded and could never appeal to an athiest or more specifically a pagan. Sorry if this upsets you and feel free to show me a song without this bleeding heart, I must repent for my sins for I am a sinner even though I've devoted all myself to you oh Lord Jesus flimflam, and I'll add it to my playlist.

thats the type of music that shane writes.. theres some Christian artists/bands that have a lot of songs that arent obviously about God, but a lot of them are. not all of his songs are about repentence. some is about feeling distant, some is wanting others to know Jesus, and some is just rejoicing.
if youre a fan of metal, then skillet is a great band to check out.

the thing about this, is that it's a worship song so it's not going to appeal to an athiest or more specifically a pagen
Shane and Shane do mostly worship music so you'll probably only be able to enjoy the guitar playing from them...
they do a song called "prodigal me" that has less of a worship tone if you want to give that a listen.
