how do you get the tuning on Oh without a capo

I know the tuning is B E A D F# B but when i tune down its too low and when i tune up the strings break. How do i get the tuning like Dave without using a capo?

u cant use ur regular strings, u gotta buy some lights and buy an extra b string make sure its .16mm, throw out the Low E, and put the A string in the E position and the D in the A, put everysting 1 place up from where is usualy is, and then put the extra B string in the high E position then tune it

Don't forget that the high e should be tuned an octave lower.

no you tune it to raied b, everything will work, i have this setup on one of my guitars, trust me what macht posted from me works.

It is true that on some guitars raised be can get a bit cranky. I tried it on my old kawaii and the strings sounded like a hornets nest, while on my ibanez raised be sounded great.

Umm no, I have a guitar in raised b too. Your extra b string (first string position) needs to be an octave lower or else you're going to be snapping strings all day.

o yeah, but in your first post you said the e string needed to be an octave lower. didnt know you meand B in the e position.
