Key Signatures For Some Dave Songs

Hey, I'm new, so I'm just a bit unaccustomed to this board. Anyhow, Could anyone provide me with the key signatures to these Dave songs. I'm not too good with identifying what key a song is in, so help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks[/quote]

keys are really hard in dave songs. in many songs a key could be the first chord. but not in dave songs. dave decides to make things hard. id love to know how to figure out keys, but i think it might be a bit out of my league. anyway, welcome to the boards duluoz

2. Dancing Nancies (I think this might be in G)

4. Ants Marching

oh crap.. if im not mistaken weve had a huge debate on this board about the key of billies... my guess for ants is D, but thats only due to my inferior knowledge of music theory.

1. I can't make up my mind what key Billies is in.
2. Nancies is in D.
3. #41 is in G.
4. Ants is in D.

for Billies I want to say D as well but I also want to say A.....Bm is another possiblity.

Does is say D, or does it say 2 sharps? 2 sharps could also be Bminor.

come on people, TB is in D. the song centers around the D, A, and G chords. that's the I IV and V of the key of D. Listen to the song and pick a D note the entire time.

that's my sure fire way to prove to myself what key i think a song is in.

it seems like dave (along with most guitarists) just loves to write songs in D and G. Cuz they are the easiest.

well of course it says 2 sharps, i've never seen a staff that just says "this is in D" nn it, but i still think the song is in D.
