i was told that the Mackie DFX6 6x2 Mixer is a deent mixer for its priece ($189). I was jsut wondering what your take on this mixer.

Here comes another of my stoopid questions :lol: ....

...could i use this mixer on my pa system when like playing with my band in the basement...or jstu for recording?

You can use it for both but...because its an unpowered mixer...you need to have active pa speakers to hear it

i would actually recommend an amp with it if youre gonna be playing shows

you can also record with it

pretty much everything

You definitely will get the best sound out of a rack amp and passive loudspeakers, but active loudspeakers will no doubt be less expensive for the same "loudness"
