most of the time i hold the pick with thumb on one side and first and second fingers on the other...i have been trying more and more lately to use just thumb and first finger, but i usually drop the pick

Thats the same way I play it, everyone always tells me its wrong and I should change it but it feels so awkard the "right" way or whatever and I always drop it too, I feel like I have no control that way. Hold it however it feels right to you I would say unless there is actually proof holding it another way limits your playing, which I dont think its holding me back.
Hey Billy, do you hold a pencil with like all your fingers, just thought that would explain why we hold the pick the same way.

i play with my thumb and index when i do play with the pic. that way i can use the rest of my fingers for picking as well. :)

Thumb & first two fingers. That's how it felt naturally, so it's probably wrong ;), but I'm more comfortable that way.

I always play with the pick between my thumb and middle finger, it's just something I picked up.

when i dont play with a pic and my index finger is hurting because of the strumming i play with my thumb and middle. thats kind of hard due to the change though.
