Playing lead is so fun. I love it. Especially shredding.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I have a friend who can shred like no other. I bring over my acoustic and my amp, and I play a sort of slow minor thing, and he just goes to town. Average jam length, 10 mins.

I can just play syncopated pentonic lead kind of things. Sound funky as hell, but nothing to brag about. I dont have the finger spead and imagination to play lead. Im sure after a while, Id be playng the same stuff just over and over again. Plus, playing rythm is so much more fun.

I just learned Fur Elise on the guitar. Right now I'm writing riffs.

Sweet! One of my best friends can play toccata and fugue in Dm on his guitar. I play lead and shred with the harmonic minor scale and it is a friggin orgy.

I'm trying like hell to learn that last jam of STJL, it's such a bitch to switch up chords for that, but I'm getting there. That's what I'm working on right now. Just learned My Immortal by Evanescence on my acoustic about a week ago, I need to keep playing it, or I'll forget it faster than I learned it :?

I worked on it for like three months straight.. that's all I did was try that song.. Get home... play it... cuss at my guitar... cuss at my fingers... annoy people telling people I'm learning stream, so fuck off. I was so proud of myself when I could play it straight through and it had it right.

Hopeful Heresy by timmy

It's good times. Though I'm still having a little trouble getting the fingerpicking pattern on the opening part down.
