That logic might be true, but do we know if Dave has ever played a Guild? He might play them and like them more (like Thespian said).

Also, who has asked Dave which guitars he likes or doesn't? I have never heard him say anything about that.

For me, I just really like Guilds. And the Bennedettos are just like no guitars ever. I bet only a handful have played those, because they are so expensive, they don't mass produce them.

Also, don't get me wrong, I love some Martins, and I really like Taylor 12 strings. I just really think Guild has just a different tone, feel, and look that really makes me turn my head and focus on them.

It's 100% preference. I personally don't like Guilds. At all. To each their own. Well I would expect Dave to play what he wants regardless of endorsements. I'm sure if he wanted to play Guild, they'd be ready to throw some cash his way.
