Wooten - Sometimes I laugh

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

Wooten - Sometimes I laugh

Post by tietjen2k »

Hey guys, I've been using Vic's book to learn his song sometimes i laugh - and the first few verses (which are mainly harmonics) sound fine but then when it gets to the part where it has those long ringing notes - it just doesnt sound right.

anybody have a method or suggestion to this, or anybody have the same problem as me? It just doesnt sound right to me.

Yeah, Victor has spent his whole life learning and perfecting his technique. There's really no secret to it-- you just have to learn it and practice it over and over again for a long time. I'm sure Victor would tell you the same thing.
