Stefan Lessard in Bass Guitar Magazine

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

Go get it. Accurate transcriptions of Dreaming Tree (thank dear god), Stay, Rapunzel and an excersize he does. Great interview also.

The tabs appear to have the correct notes, but not necessarily the same positions Stefan uses. I've seen video of Stefan playing Dreaming Tree and it does not jive with the tab in the magazine.

This is not the first time I've seen incorrect tab in magazines like this. . .

Exactly. . . the tabs are bogus. You can watch Stay on the CP DVD and see Stefan play the whole verse riff plain-as-day twice during the first verse and it doesn't match the tab from the magazine. And like I said before, the way the magazine transcribes that stretch for the Dreaming Tree riff is bogus-- it is unnecessary, plus playing it that way makes it difficult to mute the open string note right before, and there is video that proves the other section of Dreaming Tree is wrong.
