Looking to get a new Martin, like a d-16RGT. I want to plug it in though, should I look at the DC-RGTE, like is the sound quality still there in a cutaway? or the full body with an after market pickup w/like a ParaDI, something like that.... Any idea on what I should be looking for as a price?

See, now I'm thinking about waiting and saving for a HD-28....

Any thoughts?

Well the HD-28 is a great guitar, but a lot more expenisve then the DC-16RGTE The guy who runs this site has the DC and he loves it, I wouldnt worry to much about cutaway taking away from the sound too much. Play them both, see what you like more and figure out how much you wanna spend. Also, if I got a real nice guitar (HD-28 for ex.) I dont know if Id want to cut a whole in it and install pickups, but thats just me.

Yea, see the whole idea of putting a hole in any Martin bothers me. I think I'm just gonna wait until GC gets the full body in and compare it to the DC.
