It is actualy an organ or whatnot playing these notes in the background of the song. you can play them all in first position or move them up the fretboard to actually have them descend but I like them this way. Either way, these are the correct notes. Switch between these two patterns and figure out the rhythm yourself (it isn't hard). This is all there is to it. Have fun.

if you think rap and outkast is just "talking over a beat" you should check out their cover of Coltrane's My Favorite Things on The Love Below. now that's music...then you can go back to mixing your track...which is probably a cover of N'Sync's Bye Bye Bye.

Thanks much man, i thought my thread was doomed. FYI if you guys want to play it, I'm pretty sure a couple things are different from that tab. 1) the top portion of the tab seems to be used only a couple times throughout the song mainly the first firse and another a little later
2) the second list of chords seems to be repeated over and over for the chorus for the rest of the song, also after the last F i play a quick Em, D then the C like the first list but thanks for posting that got me going on it.

Sooooooo... I didnt know most the people on the boards enjoyed gangbangs? take it easy on the guy.... dont get me wrong hes being stubborn and obnoxious about the whole musical genre bullshit, but everyones entitled to their own opinion. Excuse me for being the hippy, but I just dont like see anyone(unless their really big scumbags) get jumped on like this poor guy is. Yes, Yes, he should keep the comments to himself, but let the guy speak his mind, even if you think its right or wrong in yours

Peace, Love, and Happiness guys :P

What he had to say was dogma not opinion.

The guys been on here 2 seconds and proceeds to give us a lecture on our dedication to the instrument. If he knew this community at all he would've known that most of us are first and foremost dedicated guitarists. He was asking for it basically.

Alright,

Time to swallow my pride and cut my losses here.

Yes, this board is made up of dedicated guitarists, and it was childish and stupid of me to go off on something so trivial. Do you know what I did? I went out and borrowed a copy of the CD in question because ignorance does not leave an excuse for being an asshole. I owe lyinrgraves a big apology for having the audacity to go off on him like that, I owe the board a big apology for acting like such a stuck up guitar god, and I cannot believe that I turned into that.

In the future, should I go off like this, I ask the mods immediatly BAN me, I had no right to come on here and act like such an idiot.

Also, don't think the music on ACIDPlanet is what I am all about, its a fling that I wanted to experiment with. Nothing more. But I see what you were attempting MWR, by saying "garbage", it hurt when I read that, but I had it coming, maybe in your mind you were trying to show me how it hurt to have your art called garbage or worthless. Well it worked. Its not an excuse, but I suffer from depression (The Real Kind), and the past week was rough, and for some reason, after hearing SO MUCH RAP on recent road trips and such, it snapped a nerve with me after I had just gotten in an argument with my bands former advertising/producer guy. I did not need to do this. Though I stand by alot of my points, I withdraw alot of them. and once again, Apologize for my moment of unclarity, I hope that someday, I can earn respect on the boards after this sad display of ego.

The Coltrane cover was pretty cool.

The CD certainly isn't my idea of rap...if anything its a mix of a ton of styles, everything from soul to jazz to whatever the hell else...I prefer The Love Below to Speakerboxxx, Andre (I think), seems to be more experimental with stuff.

If more of rap, etc. Took the time to be original and come out with new things that arn't just the stereotypical gangsta stuff, then I could respect it alot more, but these guys are pretty damn cool.

Thanks for putting up with me...
