First Original

Post by jebro »

I wrote my first jam last night, so today I borrowed a computer mic off of one of my friends to make a recording. Its not quite what I want yet but I just want to get some ideas and see what people think of it. Ive just been playing for a year now, so dont expect anything spectacular! Hope you like it.

I think the best place to post it is http://www.iuma.com
But you have to wait like two weeks untill it works, which really sucks :x

hey i love the beginning riff.sounds solid.very jazzy
the song almost reminds me off kit kat jam with all the different parts and what not.
my only complaint would be to add lyrics to if u could.its a little repititous with only the guitar.but thats not really a big deal.
keep up the good work!

cuz it's a solo song and no band behind you... have you thought about doing like powerchords or perhaps full chords at the beat of the notes you;re playing for the first 39 seconds? i know it builds into the following part... however maybe open struming of the solo.. like:

(not that i know what notes you;re playing but...)

Code: Select all

--------------
--------------
-------0-----
-0-----0-----
-0-----7h9--
-5h7---0----
etc..

the first bit is VERY generic, you might just want to toss that out. on the other hand, at about 1:00 the song gets very interesting. definitely develop that, i was impressed.
