does dave play the alternate vs sliding to the 11 more often than just slided 8 and 7? when does he use what version solo in 92 or 93 to now?

He plays both, it seems like every fourth time through the "verse" riff he play the slide up to 7 and 8. The rest of the time it's up to 11 or so.

for 3 times, do the sliding to the 11th, the fourth just do the 76/87 slide
