Bartender seems like it's missing something

What chords go with:
I'm on bended knee I pray Bartender please
Oh when I was young I didn't think about it,
But now I can't get it out of my mind
I'm on bended knee please father please

The Bm and G sound right with the first line but not with the rest

For the whole first line "I'm on bended knees I pray Bartender please" you play the (X244XX) and then after you play (5557XX) then the "oh when I was young...out of my mind" you play the intro/verse (03h5) thing and then "I'm on bended" play the (X244XX) I hope that wasn't too confusing
