Before you shell out the dough for the DM3MD...

Smack yourself twice, and realize for that money you can have Taylor or Martin custom build you a guitar far nicer than Dave's.

Or you could pick from amongst the elite luthiers like Petros, Goodall, and Collings, and have them build a guitar to your specs.

Either way you would have the coolest guitar you know of.

Not that I am saying there is anything wrong with the DM3MD, just that the price is no longer worth it.

i agree. Use the money to put a down payment on a car. No guitar is worth that much unless your a collector. Personally, spending that much on a guitar, i'd be too afraid to even touch the damn thing. The most i would spend on a guitar is between 2500 & 3000.
