Tim on tour this summer???

How badass would it be if Tim toured with the band this summer. He's been playing with dave the past year with the 2 tours and doesn't have a tour planned for this summer. I think that would be awesome, but i'll keep dreaming.

yeah, i forget who it was but someone here said they saw Tim at a show and asked him if he'd be tourning with Dave or something, and Tim said "no way" or something like that. i wouldn't count on it, but that would be so awesome

Yeah, that was me. I was able to talk with Tim for quite a while about a month ago. I told him it would be very well received if he made a couple appearances on the DMB summer tour and he laughed and immediately said "no." His immediate reaction was quite odd but I really felt I should leave it alone so I didn't inquire further.

Smart of you. I do wish I could see him though. I've only seen him do a solo show, which was way way cool. But I'd like to see him live with DMB. ...sigh...

Well, if you would follow Tim news, you would find out he has been on vacation with his family and kids. He has also worked up new songs for a new album and a supporting tour this summer. That's why he's not going to be with the band. I also bet he gets asked that too much, and gets tired of it, so he just quickly says no to end the discussion.

Tim is doing a lot of his own stuff for the past 4 years. Obviously there is no problem with Tim and the band (hence d&t tours, and d&f tours, and he is friends with everyone in the band).

Tim is just doing fine on his own for now, and seems to be enjoying it, so who would blame him for doing his new album and tour when he gets back.

But on the subject, why in the fuck won't Tim come and jam? What do you guys/girls think his reasoning is? I can't remember him really touring with the band since what, 99?

I posted it, lol. Tim has been doing his own recently. Also, he had a big D&T tour then the D&F (wth d&t preshow). He is also spending time with family. Oh, not to mention all the recording and writing time on the album Some Devil. He's been doing a lot of Dave stuff, and is back to his own stuff for a while. Also, why can't he show up? the dates are in stone, and Tim must of had plans that doesn't run into dmb show dates.

he has a family to look after, and doesnt want to tour for as long as DMB does

I know he has his own thing going, but like any special guest, he could show up for a show or two. But I know Tim's not really like that. Or I couldn't see him doing that.
