Classical-ish intro to Harper's Power of the Gospel

Post by mbgreen »

I love it. Its really easy to play, if you havent tried it, and it sounds really cool. Its one of those pieces that makes you sound better than you really are.

Anyone have any good classical songs for beginners? Or am I full of shit, considering I dont read music? (Which is probably the case.)

EDIT: When I say beginner, I mean Im new to classical music. Not guitar.

Classical guitar generaly means it's a Classical composition i.e. Bach, Chopin etc. Power of the Gospel would be considered a fingerstyle piece. I know what you were saying though I was just clearing the termanology up.
As far as true classical pieces go I really enjoy Air by Bach. Romance is really nice and it's very simple if you just want to get something under your fingers.

Check this page out: http://alt.venus.co.uk/weed/music/classtab/welcome.htm
It's got a crap load of classical tabs with the midi files so you can hear how to play it.

Schweet. Thanks man. Thats what I was lookin for.

And I know its not really a classical piece. Hence the -ish in the subject. :)

Sorry for the extraneous lesson. I noticed the -ish after I read it.
