OMFG, I bought this DVD off ebay and it's freakin' hysterical.
Some 80s metal moof is in his mom's basement recording the stuff on to VHS and then making DVD copies. ROFL ... He didn't do a single song correctly. I had no idea what to expect, but I thought it was worth a shot.
At one point he says, "here's the part with the electric guitar ... I'm going to use some reverb here ... My clean amp is in the shop so I'm using my old Marshall" ... LOL! 1) He can't wait to shoot the video when he's got his "clean" amp? 2) His old Marshall looks like it literally fell off the back of a truck.
It totally didn't help me in the slightest with Dave's music but I do gotta say that the unintentional comedy rating was off the charts
If I can get a few vidcaps off the DVD I'll post them. So damn funny ...

OMG! Thats halarious.
I keep getting an image of his mom yelling down to him "dinners ready!"
Does he even use an acoustic at all? That would be absurd if he didn't.
I also have this on Video. It really is atrocious. At one point he changes to a 7 string electric to do the intro to "Space Between" as it is the only way he can figure it out.
He calls each a riff but some are just chord patterns. He also does "in the style of" every other guitar player you have ever heard of and I suspect they are all bad. I certainly regret spending my "hard earned" on it.
my friend bought that thing too, the guy is straight up joe dirt style....lol i laugh just thinking about. Post some of the video on here just to get a few more laughs....

Yeah, his name is Curt Mitchell, he's done a lot of those videos. I just think he bit off more than he could chew with Dave's stuff because he really is a metal/rock kinda player. I saw one that he did on Van Halen once, and it was much more helpful and accurate than the dave one. He played everything pretty much right on.
But the Dave video is absolutely awful. Also, he still hasn't cut his hair and it looks the exact same in the dave video as in the Van Halen video that was released during the mid-80's.
Joe Dirt is right....
"Daschunds...the only dog that's shaped like it's own poop."
I think he also gained some weight for the DMB video. Guitar Center was playing one of his older videos on one of their monitors and he was like 40 pounds lighter.
"Thank you everybody so much again for tonight. We hope you had a good time with us. We're kind of relaxed and y'all hopefully y'all relaxed too. This is beautiful humidity. We enjoy it and everybody take care of yourselfs. Muaha..." DM
