Broken hand = not cool

So I broke my hand in a snowboarding contest on satuday. That means no guitar for awhile, and I was damn looking forward to playing and finishing some tabs i'd been working on.

ouch, sorry to hear that man... what contest? snowboarding used to be my life before college, now i just make it out west about 1 week a year to hike up into some real terrain and hit cliffs like a madman

i just about broke my right hand the night before last, bad night all around and some guy tried to tackle me while i was fighting about something with one of his friends... drunkass couldnt hold his own at all, i put a few knots on his head and let him stand up (more or less) and then told him to get lost, he was so wasted he didnt have a chance.. man did my knuckle hurt yesterday and still does today

The Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam. I was doing really well also. Qualified for finals but had to drop out due to injury...son of a.

I can play but marginally at best and it really hurts. I can't spread my fingers at all, and I can't move them more then like 1 or maybe 2 frets without having to shift my whole hand. I'll be recovered fully in 2-3 weeks, so it's not that bad. But it still sucks.

Maybe you'll develop a super hand after you heal and be able to do a 9 fret stretch. You'll be a guitar god! Or a freak of nature, but hey, it'd be cool. Hope you get better man.

dude i feel your pain. I haven't been able to play since February 22 because i jacked up my middle finger on my left hand. I just got the pin out last week, and now i have to do rehab and shit to get it back to normal. So just think, it could be worse...

That blows

I broke mine into a million pieces a few years ago. It's fine now, but I have steel plates in my radius, ulna, and two of my metacarpals. I can play guitar alright, but it hurts often. So don't feel bad, it could have been a lot worse.

Good luck on the recovery though.
