Need advice on this guitar...

Post by two_stepper10 »

I am really close to buying this guitar, a martin DX1, need some advice from people who own it and/or played one of these. Thanks in advance for everyone's help! :D

Edit: Or would it be worth spending a couple extra hundred and getting the D-15?

go with the d-15 special addition, dx1 isn't all solid wood, back and sides are HPL(High Pressure Laminate) and top is solid spruce

i havent played the D-15 but ive played the DX1 a few times, i dont think its worth the money when you look at a comparable Alvarez or Tak... i think im gonna end up going with a Larivee L-01 at some point, and thats in about the same price range... much nicer guitar

The 15 series is really nice. Plus I would go with all wood over laminate any day.

last i checked, elderly sold D16DGT's for 768, that would be a much better buy than either of those guitars in my opinion....

Go with the D15 Special. The whole D series is superior to anything else Chris Martin or his spawn have crafted.
