For the love of God someone ask me something about theory or jsut guitar in general. It has been months since I've been able to help anyone around here.

Seriously, any theory or general gutiar related (as in gutiar technique) questions can be asked in this thread and I will answer to the best of my abillity.

Very quick question, are dorian and blues scales the same thing?

no, these blues scale is a pentatonic scale with an extra note (which makes it have six notes). the dorian mode, is just that, a mode, so it has seven notes

its actually really cool to combine the two to make a hybrid scale

can you explain stacked 5th chords to me? like in warehouse and satellite? are they like power chords as in they arent major or minor?

you are right in that they aren't major or minor, but they aren't powerchords. like shane said, they are sus2 chords.

when you keep adding a fifth, you get more and more notes. you start with the 1, then you of course add the 5, then the 5th of 5th is the same thing as the 2. so you have the 1, 2, and 5, which is a sus2
