Who is Robert Fripp and/or Adrian Belew?????

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

what bands were they in and what type of music did they play?
asking since Dave mentioned them as major guitarist influences

Robert Fripp is the lead guitarist in King Crimson, he is a very inventive guitar player. I would give King Crimson a listen especially their last album. As for the other guy, I don't recall that name.

Robert Fripp does some cool stuff with Peter Gabriel.

Adrian Belew produced 2 songs on Jars of Clay's first album (self titled)... Liquid and Flood I believe... those are two awesome songs... as is the entire album.
